Painted in the mid 2000’s, this work marks a significant moment of free expression. Our little white kitty, Cottonball, was a constant companion. He tagged along with me as I worked to beautify our backyard and one day, as I surveyed how the yard was coming along, I noticed him — viewing intently with me. The moment stayed with me and I was blessed to feel I captured some of what I felt that he felt in that moment with me.

This image has stayed with me internally since I created it and my wife and I have had it hang where ever we lived. Recently we moved to be closer to our youngest grandchild, and it was the first painting I hung in our new place.
