Birds 4 (3 variations of the same image) extends my opening series of images featuring parks and rivers, birds and people, bridges and more, from inside Austin Texas. Other series besides “Birds & Fun at Butler Park Austin” will be “Austin Hike & Bike Trail” and “Birds Boaters & Bridges of Barton Springs.” A new gallery will be created for each once enough images for a series have been uploaded.

This bird, like the ones in Birds 2 and 3, was on the railing of one of three pier-like extensions over the manmade lake at Butler Park. However this pretty bird was scared down onto the pond amond the rushes by a rather boistrous jogger that came too close (smiles).

©Felipe Adan Lerma - now in my early 70s, I've begun to blend aspects of my art I thought each decade I'd left behind - from my acrylic abstracts & figures in the 1980s, to my impressionist oils of the 2000s to my beginner blends of watercolors from 2019 -- now I enjoy sometimes mixing watercolors into my acrylics, discovering the new mediums and pastes and colors of acrylics, and blending abstract with impressionistic with surrealism.
