Mid November in Austin can be hot, blustery, cold, muggy, or stunningly beautiful. This is a series of images when the weather has been the latter: so gorgeous it puts magic in the air. These shots were all taken between 4 and 5 pm along a short stretch of the Hike and Bike Trail circling Lady Bird Lake. My two main stops this time around were beneath the Pfluger Pedestrian Bridge and at the small round-about at Lou Neff Lookout. This picture is a detail of the original from underneath the Pfluger Pedestrian Bridge.
About Felipe Adan Lerma
©Felipe Adan Lerma - now in my early 70s, I've begun to blend aspects of my art I thought each decade I'd left behind - from my acrylic abstracts & figures in the 1980s, to my impressionist oils of the 2000s to my beginner blends of watercolors from 2019 -- now I enjoy sometimes mixing watercolors into my acrylics, discovering the new mediums and pastes and colors of acrylics, and blending abstract with impressionistic with surrealism. Sometimes simply creating color blocks woven in textures thick enough to see online. My work today, I'd say, offers both fine art collectibles and interior design. Occasionally, a work encompassing both. For blog posts about my art, please visit - https://www.FelipeAdanLerma.com -- thank you so much for...

Nice picture!
Felipe Adan Lerma replied:
Sergey, thanks!
Michele Avanti
What a fantastic image, the play of light and reflection is other-worldly! lfpt
Felipe Adan Lerma replied:
Thank you, Michele! I've had a few folk tell me it almost has a cathedral effect with the arches and light - really appreciate your mentioning the other-wordly effect (smiles).
Robert VanDerWal
Great Capture. The high key presentation works well.
Felipe Adan Lerma replied:
Robert, thanks so much. I agree, the higher light key fits, but this is a detail of the larger image which has larger masses of dark areas. The trick for me was cropping down to still leave angles and arches that interested me with the paddler boater. Also having the dark leaves on the right and a bit of shadowed arch on the upper left really helped. Thank you again Robert for your thoughtful comment (smiles).

Great perspective of the bridge perfect timing for the paddleboarder. l/fv
Felipe Adan Lerma replied:
Thanks, Helen! :) Very lucky with this shot, and even with the weather, the light's been changing so quickly each day this time of year :)
Ben Prepelka
Perfect timing to catch the paddler in a great spot!
Felipe Adan Lerma replied:
Thanks, Ben! I got very lucky, esp since it was a moving moment :)
