Around 2001 my wife Sheila and I had our first spring at restoring a new, mosly dirt backyard. We put in a fence and birdbath, moved an old bench and obelisk in, and were lucky to get rain that spring. We were both working and one one weekend saw this had happened (smiles). We eventually trimmed and mowed, but that first wild look of our corner garden was always one of our favorites. :)
©Felipe Adan Lerma - now in my early 70s, I've begun to blend aspects of my art I thought each decade I'd left behind - from my acrylic abstracts & figures in the 1980s, to my impressionist oils of the 2000s to my beginner blends of watercolors from 2019 -- now I enjoy sometimes mixing watercolors into my acrylics, discovering the new mediums and pastes and colors of acrylics, and blending abstract with impressionistic with surrealism. Sometimes simply creating color blocks woven in textures thick enough to see online. My work today, I'd say, offers both fine art collectibles and interior design. Occasionally, a work encompassing both. For blog posts about my art, please visit - https://www.FelipeAdanLerma.com -- thank you so much for...

Wonderful color, light and shadow in your enchanting little garden Adan, would love to be sitting there listening to the birds and enjoying the morning sun on my face while having my first cup of coffee, life is beautiful!!!!...fav/tweet/love
Felipe Adan Lerma replied:
What an enchanting thought, Donna! It was a very magic first spring my wife and I enjoyed there - thank you! (smiles)
Linda Crockett
Love this wild garden, looks very inviting! l/f
Felipe Adan Lerma replied:
Thank you, Linda :) It was a wonderful few weeks here in Central Texas, not hot yet, enough rain, and wild things growing :)
HH Photography of Florida
Love the "disheveled" look of this spot in your garden, Felipe. Looks like a great little respite for the birds too. l/fv
Felipe Adan Lerma replied:
HH, yes, does have that "very" relaxed look :) I'd trim and mow it now and then, but then the wild garlics etc would get chopped off, so I opted for the natural look. Early spring lasts but a bit here in Austin - thank you so much for coming by (smiles).
