An older image, taken a winter my wife and I spent in Vermont, back 2010-11, this was a rare if chilly treat for me. Born and raised in Texas, snow like this, piled on rocks and roads, just wasn’t seen. The public boathouse itself was closed for winter, but lights were kept on, reflecting the area’s concern with both nature’s beauty, but that created by people.
