Description
This a photo I took on Austin's Hike & Bike Trail from under the Lamar Street Bridge. I recently (circa 2016) took another photograph of this spot and uploaded it here on Fine Art America. Below is my write-up for that new picture. It's quite amazing at the similarity and yet the growth of the branches sloping over the water.

My first view, walking Austin's Hike & Bike Trail, of this arched tree over the waters of (then) Town Lake (now aptly renamed Lady Bird Lake) was with my oldest granddaughter in the mid-90s. At the time, only the one lower hanging branch slung over the water. Since then the other branches above it have grown out enough to also start leaning out. Even now, it's a pleasant surprise when passing underneath the Lamar Street Bridge. The view is to the west to the northern shore of the lake. This is one of many visual surprises along the relatively homogenous Central Texas landscape. The other, of course, is the variety of folks in Austin using the Hike & Bike Trail (smiles). Please note: a smaller detail shot focussing on the rowers in the distance and low hanging branch over the water is also available here at Fine Art America.
