Please note, there are three versions of this image available: the original full size image, a panoramic rendition, and two greeting card / posters using the panorama, one dark and one pale blue. I like both greeting card versions a lot. One gives a strong immediate impact, while the other is a play on tones, like the water and sky in the image.

This was a lucky chance view off Burlington’s Bike Path very near Waterfront Park. I was bicycling back north to our Airbnb and an opening appeared to my left. I remember thinking how level and close to the lake I was.

Even in the calmness, cross currents are visible across the lake and the clouds overhead are busy being beautiful!
