It was a mixed bag morning walk to begin with, it started unusually and very welcomingly cool for an early May morning in Central Texas. I dressed accordingly and soon after starting out temps shot up ten degrees in ten minutes, lol! A little too warm for long pants and layering t-shirt. We’d also recently learned of a close family friend’s passing and my mood was subdued, reflective. So though surprised by this floral spray of spring, I was ready and receptive to it; or I may have passed it by as not “glamorous” enough, snazzy enough — but it was, it was more than enough to make me feel well for our friend. We missed him, but he already was shining....
