There were several places my wife and I went to for me to take pictures the one winter we lived in Vermont and this was my one chance to see a transition up north from winter to spring.
Several locations featured this similar look, from Mallets Bay to several beachs along Lake Champlain, like Leddy Beach and North Beach - the latter both areas very close to where Sheila grew up. I love the lone tree splitting the jut of land over the lake, and the play of light among the clouds. I remember the sand was very wet and very cold. When you grow up near and along the Texas Gulf Coast like I did, you remember the difference (smiles).
My Vermont collection at http://fineartamerica.com/profiles/felipeadan-lerma.html?tab=artworkgalleries&artworkgalleryid=641697 here on Fine Art America features all my images from this small and wonderful state.
Thank you so much for stopping by (smiles).

R Morrison - Rachel, thank you! Yes! There was an ease along the shore that evening. I've ended up keeping this photo for several years before finally grappling with how to make it match what I saw emotionally that day :)
