I'd finished shopping at one of Austin's many food stores specializing in healthy selections with our now four year old grandson, and though it was late August heat outside, we had to stop and admire the tenacity of this beautiful bird patiently waiting for more scraps. I knew right away, if I could not spook him, I might catch him at just the right angle to really make the tangle of chair and table lines stand out - a natural abstract! My grandson had convinced me we needed to buy some french fries for him when someone with a plate came out and sat down at a nearby table. It wasn't long before the bird had another meal (smiles).
