Both the image-only and poster/greeting card versions of this black and white photograph are from my original full color uploads of “Black Bird at Central Market,” included in my Fine Art America Birds Collection - http://fineartamerica.com/profiles/felipeadan-lerma.html?tab=artworkgalleries&artworkgalleryid=648193 .
Though the original image was already naturally mostly black and white, here all traces of blue shadows and warm glints of reds and bright blues and other tones have been converted.
In addition, as is my custom with variations of an image, I’ve tweaked the pure BW version’s tonal contrasts and sharp/soft areas. Spot adjustments were made to strengthen or soften sharp edges via the history tool, and in the poster greeting card rendtition the accent line around the image plus the text were changed to better suit I think the BW look.
It’s interesting feeling the emotional tone between the color and BW versions, each with something of its own to contribute (smiles).
Thanks so much,
Adan

Sarah Loft - Thanks so much, Sarah! The composition was there waiting for me to realize I just got lucky :) The silhouettes and shadows were there also, but took a little more coaxing (smiles).
