Please note: Three variations are available of this image: the full size original, a vertical crop-cut, and a greeting card poster version.
The view is facing north toward Lady Bird Lake and downtown Austin on the Pedestrian Bridge arching over Barton Springs and connecting the east-west sections of the Hike and Bike Trail on the south side of the river. The trail loops around both sides of Lady Bird Lake.
Sometimes it’s a bit of a challenge getting an image from the bridge as walkers, joggers, and bicycles passing over tend to make the bridge bob and bounce a bit (smiles).
A portion of this image has also been used to enhance a gift-writing I wrote back in 1994, "Fisherman" - available here at - https://fineartamerica.com/featured/fisherman-an-original-writing-felipe-adan-lerma.html?newartwork=true .
I hope to also upload an image of a small 8x10 oil I painted in the early 2000s of the Pedestrian Bridge (with fall colors) from where I shot this photo.
