Morning sunrises, especially seen from Austin’s Pfluger Pedestrian Bridge, vary particularly so because of the vantage point over the river (called Lady Bird Lake) running alongside the city’s skyline.
This image reminds me so much of vistas I had of Houston in the 50s and 60s - rising bright, clean, and strong into the sky. Though Houston has its bayous, it doesn’t have a river segmented by dams creating this wide peaceful scene!
I’ve taken the original photo and tweaked two versions, one soft and one bright. As my pattern, I adjusted far more than a filter application to each version, hopefully enhancing each version to bring out its strengths and beauty. I then cropped each of the two into an additional panoramic version for a total of four images in this set.
