Stevie Ray Vaughn is a music icon for the city of Austin. His statue along the Hike & Bike Trail is close-in, prominent, and rarely without folks around it - as it should be (smiles).

This image is one of a series from my walking and bicycling visits to Lady Bird Lake’s Hike & Bike Trail here in Austin.

Now a young senior, I grew up engulfed and shaken by the string of musical stars lost too early for too many reasons. I’m very glad the city of Austin has placed at least one of its musical stars in a highly visible location so many people can enjoy everyday.
