Description
My first view, walking Austin's Hike & Bike Trail, of this arched tree over the waters of (then) Town Lake (now aptly renamed Lady Bird Lake) was with my oldest granddaughter in the mid-90s. At the time, only the one lower hanging branch slung over the water. Since then the other branches above it have grown out enough to also start leaning out. Even now, it's a pleasant surprise when passing underneath the Lamar Street Bridge. This image, a detail of a larger version also available here at Fine Art America, is the view west to the northern shore of the lake. This is one of many visual surprises along the relatively homogenous Central Texas landscape. The other, of course, is the variety of folks in Austin using the Hike & Bike Trail (smiles)

A beautiful work Felipe. Itīs so well created with the bridge arch as a framing and the overhanging tree. 😊
Felipe Adan Lerma replied:
Thank you, Christiane! So sorry for the late reply, just got back today from a few days in the hill country (Texas). I really appreciate your thoughts on this, very much appreciate it :) This is a favorite spot I've enjoyed going by for many years, even when my oldest granddaughter was a little girl :)

Lovely image, Adan, and beautifully framed by the arch of the bridge.
Felipe Adan Lerma replied:
Thanks so much, Sarah :) This is an older bridge here in Austin, and the arches are definitely old time majestic! They lent that extra something to a bright fun day - so glad you like it (smiles).
